Now let me first analyze the route of Cam2 Tai Mo Shan.
Distance: 28.9 kilometers Climb: 1698 meters Time limit: 7 hours Checkpoints and supply stations:
CP1: Lead Mine Au (9.1 kilometers, time limit: 2.5 hours)
CP2: City Gate (17.2 kilometers, time limit: 4.5 hours)

Cam2 Tai Mo Shan will be held on November 19, 2023, with a distance of 28.9 kilometers and a climb of nearly 1,700 meters. The starting point is at Tai Mo Shan Rotary Park. After starting, runners will go straight up the concrete road of Tai Mo Shan Road for about 4.4 After reaching the highest point of the race, capable runners may consider running all the way up the mountain to gain the ideal time.
After the highest point, continue the reverse route on Section 8 of the MacLehose Trail, first descending for 1.6 kilometers to reach Sifang Mountain, and then turn into a mountain trail. The road section is mainly flat and downhill, and then you will reach CP1 Lead Mine Col.
Leaving the CP1 Lead Mine Au, go in reverse along Section 7 of the MacLehose Trail, passing through Cao Shan and Needle Mountain, and then to Shing Mun Main Dam and Pineapple Dam. Except for climbing up Grass Mountain and Needle Mountain, most of this section is downhill. CP2 is located at the barbecue area in front of Pineapple Dam.
After leaving CP2, we passed the Butterfly Garden and climbed onto the Longmen Country Trail. The first section of the Longmen Country Trail mainly climbs, and then becomes flat. This section is a good test for the running speed of cross-country runners. The Longmen Country Trail then turns towards the Xiang Shek Cemetery. After passing the Xiang Shek Cemetery, the trail goes uphill and reaches the outside of Shi Yuen Park. This will be the final major climb of the entire race. Then go through the gravel road towards the gate, and then go down the mountain via the dirt road in section 8 of the MacLehose Trail. Although this section is mainly downhill, there is still a small amount of uphill, so you should retain enough strength to cope with it. Finally, we go around the Tai Mo Shan Visitor Center to the end of the Rotary Park.
