TransLantau by UTMB® will be held for the first time in 2022 under the name of the UTMB® World Series in the Asia-Pacific region. Due to the epidemic situation, the race will be held as a virtual race.
TransLantau by UTMB® Hybrid 2022 has 3 distances: TransLantau 100 Hybrid (103 kilometers), TransLantau 50 Hybrid (54 kilometers) and TransLantau 25 Hybrid (25 kilometers).
We will continue to analyze and introduce the Translantau 50 Hybrid (54km) and Translantau 25 Hybrid (25km) routes of TransLantau by UTMB®.
The event date is from October 28 to November 18, 2022. Participants can start at any time during this period. There will be no conference signs along the way. Participants can follow the map in the LiveRun. The conference recommends participants Using the mobile app LiveRun or Strava, participants must use a GPS device (watch or other app) to verify race performance and route. Participants must take a selfie with their number bib at several designated card slots and upload it to LiveTrail.
This year's competition, all races start and end at Galaxy Garden, Mui Wo.
The 54-kilometer and 25-kilometer routes are relatively not too difficult and are suitable for entry-level runners or runners who love speed.
TransLantau 50 Hybrid
TransLantau50 Hybrid is divided into 5 sections, the total distance of the route is about 54 kilometers, the total climb is about 2422 meters, the time limit is 14 hours (must be completed at one time), most of them are flat sections, and the climb is not too large , with 4 photo slots.
The 3 punch slots include:
- Mui Wo starting point (0km)
- Zhimawan Old Man Mountain (13 km)
- Dadongshan (42.3 km)

(1) Mui Wo – Chi Ma Wan (Distance: 13.1 km)
The race will start at Yinhe Garden in Mui Wo, go along Mui Wo Township Road and Nanshan Ancient Road to Nanshan, after arriving at Nanshan, head towards Baifutian Mountain, connect with Phoenix Trail, go straight along Section 12 of Phoenix Trail, and then turn to The path between Ngugu Wan and Shilong New Village, after arriving at Shilong New Village, turns to Chi Ma Wan Road, which is relatively flat. Then turn to Zhimawan Country Trail, you need to climb up Old Man Mountain and then descend to Shilong Reservoir. The climbing range of Old Man Mountain is not too big, and it is still a relatively early part of the competition, so it should not be difficult to cope with the physical condition.
Participants are required to take photos at the starting point of Mui Wo and Old Man Mountain (11.4 km) in Chi Ma Wan.

(2) Chi Ma Wan – Pui O (Distance: 14 km)
After leaving the Chi Ma Wan Checkpoint, continue along the Chi Ma Wan Country Trail, turn to the direction of Pui O at the end, follow Chi Ma Wan Road to Pui O, and return to Chi Ma Wan Road via South Lantau Road . The ups and downs of this section are not too big, but the distance is long, so please have enough supplements before starting at Zhimawan.
In addition, Pui O Village has a lot of soldiers, so you can go to the village to replenish your supplies during training and competitions, and you can leave by bus at the same time.

(3) Pui O – Pak Kung Au (Distance: 12.1 km)
After leaving Pui O, you will go around Chi Ma Wan Road to Phoenix Trail, then you will climb to the top of Daniu Lake (Pak Fu Tin Mountain) which is not difficult, and then you will arrive at Nam Shan after descending the mountain, and then follow the South Lantau Country Trail to Pak Kung Au. The first about 4 kilometers is the uphill and downhill sections on the top of Daniuhu Lake, and about 7 kilometers after that, the South Lantau Country Trail is mainly a dirt road with small fluctuations, but a small part of the dirt road is slightly rough, so when running Be careful.
Due to the long distance, participants are advised to arrange relatives and friends to support and resupply at Pak Kung Au.

(4) Bogongao – Baimang (distance: 10.2 km)
This is the most difficult section of the entire route. Participants start from Bogong'ao and head towards Dadong and Erdong along the Fenghuang Trail. Shuangdong'ao, turn left to the direction of Lianhua Mountain and Poran Mountain, and finally go down the mountain and pass through Baimang Village, and you will arrive at the checkpoint near Niugulang.
Due to the large ascent and descent in this section, please reserve enough energy before starting.
There is a Shido in Baimang Village, which can be considered for replenishment during training and competitions .
Participants are required to take photos and check in at Dadongshan (42.3 kilometers).

(5) Pak Mang – Mui Wo (Distance: 4.6 km)
When the participants arrive here, it can be considered that the end is in sight, because there is only the last section that is not difficult. After leaving the checkpoint at Pak Mang, you will follow the Hong Kong Olympic Trail to the rain shelter at Mong To Au, turn left and go up the hill, pass through Wo Sheung Au and Heng Tong Village, and arrive at the end point in Mui Wo.
TransLantau25 Hybrid
TransLantau25 Hybrid can be regarded as the entry-level course of TransLantau by UTMB®. The overall difficulty is not too big. As long as there is proper training, there should be no major problems in completing it.
TransLantau25 Hybrid is divided into 3 sections, the total distance of the route is about 24 kilometers, the total climb is about 1203 meters, the time limit is 9 hours (must be completed at one time), and there are 2 photo check-in spots.

The competition will start at Galaxy Garden in Mui Wo, along Mui Wo Township Road and Nam Shan Ancient Road to Nam Shan, and then along the 7-kilometer South Lantau Country Trail. The dirt road is slightly rough, so pay more attention when running, and you will reach Bogongao.
