BXTR Metal pays homage to Baxter Street, Los Angeles' iconic skateboarding landmark—a symbol of the fusion of authenticity and style, much like the design philosophy behind these sunglasses. Created by the Oakley® design team in collaboration with brand friends, these overlay sunglasses redefine the look of lifestyle eyewear. The BXTR Metal features metallic Trigger Stem temples inspired by Oakley's classic Razor Blade sunglasses, while also paying tribute to the brand's first prototype—the original Eyeshade, made from ski goggle lenses and a metal hanger. The frame is crafted from plant-based BiO-Matter® material, providing all-day comfort, lightweight durability, and Unobtainium® nose pads that remain stable and slip-resistant even when wet.

BiO-Matter® is made from biomaterials and contains at least 56% bio-based carbon derived from castor oil (calculated as a percentage of biomaterials to fossil materials).
