How to measure:
On flat ground, the top of the trekking pole handle should be at waist or hip level and your elbow at 90 degress.
For Walking, hiking and backpacking: stability and support matter most. Size up if you're right on a size cusp.
For Running: uphill propulsion matters most. Size down if you're right on a size cusp.

The Distance Carbon Z is our lightest Z-pole for those who travel fast. Made from 100% carbon fiber, the Distance Carbon Z features a three-section foldable design for quick deployment.
We've reduced the pole's diameter, reducing weight and bulk without sacrificing durability. Our ultralight recycled nylon Distance binding wicks moisture, our ultralight EVA grip provides just the right amount of comfort, and our easily replaceable Tech Tips make this the ultimate example of lightweight, detail-oriented pole technology. Speed Cone technology, derived from our expertise in avalanche probe design, is a key component to the Z-Poles' stiffness and rapid deployment.
