The "2nd SUUNTO Mountain Race Walking Invitational" sponsored by SUUNTO and co-organized by Cam2 Sport will be held on June 1, 2025 . Last year, the running world's "Huashan Sword Contest" was unprecedentedly grand. This year, SUUNTO and Cam2 Sport have teamed up again to set up a competition stage, inviting major running clubs in China, Hong Kong and Macau to compete with each other and fight again on Tai Mo Shan!

SUUNTO Hong Kong announced on the evening of March 10 that “See you on June 1st at Tai Mo Shan”. The course starts from Tai Mo Shan Rotary Park and ends at Tai Mo Shan Weather Radar Station. It is a 4.5km concrete road with a 450m climb, which will test the runners’ explosive power, endurance and teamwork.

The event has team championships, runner-ups and third place winners, the best men's individual champion "King of the Mountain", and the best women's individual champion "Queen of the peak". The event also has a special "Best Cheerleading Team" award. Major running clubs showcase team spirit and liven up the atmosphere of the event. Winners of each award will receive generous bonuses and prizes.

Participants who complete the event within the time limit will receive a souvenir of the 2nd SUUNTO Mountain Race Walking Invitational and an electronic certificate of completion, which can be downloaded from the timing company platform later.

After the race, there will be a supply station at the starting point. Provides a wide variety of food and drinks.

-- Ranking calculation method and scoring criteria --

 

Team Award:
The maximum number of people sent by each team is 15, regardless of gender, and the minimum number of participants is 7 men and 3 women.
The team result is calculated by the sum of the times of the first 7 men and 3 women in the team to cross the finish line. (Time* is subject to the conference chip time)

Best Competition Cheerleader:
Each team captain votes by himself (can only choose one team, cannot choose his own team)
The results will be announced in the form of live vote counting, and the team with the most votes will win the prize.

If you need someone else to pick up the athlete bag on your behalf, please provide the confirmation email to the person picking up the bag.

If the runners are unable to pick up their runner bags at the Cam2 Sport store between May 29 and 31, they can pick them up at the starting point before 07:30 on the day of the race.

 

 

---- Registration Details----

 

  1. Late registration will not be accepted.​
  2. Participants must ensure that the information they submit for registration is correct. After completing registration and payment, participants will not be able to change their personal information.​
  3. Duplicate registrations will only be counted as one registration. No refunds, rejections or name changes will be made.​
  4. If a participant provides incorrect information, fails to complete payment, or is not eligible to participate, the organizer reserves the right to cancel his/her entry and any fees paid will not be refunded. The Organisers may also contact entrants by email or other means to inquire or request additional information.​
  5. If the number of applicants exceeds the limit, the organizer will adopt a first-come, first-served basis and the quota will be filled. The organizer reserves the right to make the final decision. Unsuccessful applicants will be notified and refunded via email within four to six weeks after the registration deadline.​
  6. After completing the registration and payment, the participants will be deemed to comply with and accept all the terms, conditions and arrangements of the competition set by the organizers here and thereafter.​

 

---- Competition Rules ----

 

  1. You must follow the designated track and keep to the left. Do not take shortcuts. Violators will be disqualified.
  2. Upon reaching the finish line, participants must immediately turn left and return to the starting point according to the route arranged by the organizer.
  3. Runners must complete the race on their own and may only accept supplies at checkpoints or from their own sources. Runners are not allowed to run with others or accept any external support. Violators will be disqualified.
  4. Hiking poles are not allowed in this event and teammates are not allowed to drag each other's ropes. Violators will be disqualified.
  5. All contestants must remain respectable and not expose themselves during the competition. Violators will be disqualified.
  6. The results of this competition are calculated based on the conference chip time.
  7. Participants must bring their own cups or utensils.
  8. Food and beverages provided at checkpoints are for participants only.
  9. Bib numbers and chips are not transferable. Violators will be disqualified.
  10. The number bib must be hung in a clearly visible position throughout the race for identification. Violators will be disqualified.
  11. No littering is allowed on the track. Violators will be disqualified.
  12. Unless otherwise stated by the Conference, all time limits will be strictly enforced.
  13. Participants are not allowed to take any banned or illegal drugs. Violators will be disqualified.
  14. Participants may deposit one piece of luggage at the starting point from 07:00 on the day of the race. The organizer will not be responsible for any loss or damage.
  15. Participants who withdraw from the race must report to the nearest checkpoint / finishing point timing staff ( withdraw from the race ) and leave your race bib number for proper record. Participants who leave the course without returning their bib number will be considered "lost" and search and rescue will be initiated.
  16. If participants need assistance during the competition, they can call the organizer's emergency contact number.
  17. This event is open only to persons aged 18 or above on or before June 1, 2025.
  18. The Organisers have purchased public liability insurance which does not include personal accident insurance. If necessary, participants are requested to purchase personal accident insurance.​
  19. In case of any dispute or complaint, the organizer must be notified within 1 hour after the participant completes the competition and provide relevant evidence. The decision of the General Assembly is final and not subject to appeal.
  20. The organizer reserves the right to amend the competition rules, route and/or other arrangements.

 

---- Bad Weather Arrangements----

 

  1. The organizer reserves the right to The right to cancel the event due to any force majeure circumstances beyond the control of the organizer . If the event is cancelled, there will be no rescheduling or refund.
  2. If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted at or after 2:00 pm on the day before an activity, the activity will be cancelled on that day.
  3. If black rainstorm occurs at or after 4am on the day of activity, the activity will be cancelled.
  4. If the event is cancelled due to any of the above warnings being posted before the event, the registration fee will not be refunded.
  5. If the weather is bad or any of the above warnings are issued during the activity, the activity director has the right to change the activity route or cancel the ongoing activity. The registration fee is non-refundable.

---- Contestant's Statement ----

 

  1. All participants and/or their relatives and friends participate on a voluntary basis and must fully understand the nature and risks of the activity. They have no right to claim compensation or pursue liability from the organizers for any injury, accident, death or any form of loss resulting from their participation in the activity.
  2. If you have any questions about your physical condition, please consult your doctor first. During the activity, please pay attention to your physical condition and do it within your ability. If you feel unwell, stop the activity immediately and seek medical attention.
  3. The event has purchased public liability insurance. Participants are advised to purchase personal accident insurance to ensure their personal safety.
  4. During the event, please follow the staff's instructions. If you need to inquire about the organizers or request assistance, please contact the on-site staff.
  5. Participants are requested to abide by the laws of Hong Kong while participating in this event.

  1. The General Assembly reserves the right to amend these Articles of Association at any time without prior notice.
  2. In case of any disputes, the organizer reserves the right of final decision.
  3. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify and cancel the results of any person who violates, breaches or fails to comply with any activity rules. Fees for disqualified contestants will not be refunded.
  4. The organizer reserves the final decision on this event. Any temporary changes to the competition/activity will be announced on the event Facebook page and website.
